Honor has launched its latest Smartphone Honor 9N in India. The phone is available in vibrant shades of Lavender Purple, Midnight Black, Robin Egg Blue and Sapphire Blue. It comes with a 5.84 Inch TFT-LCD display with a resolution of 2280 x 1080 which is very comfortable to hold and good for one hand use.

It has a pixel density of 432 PPI and comes with a Notch and a 2.5D glass at the front as well as the back and sits on a sturdy metal frame. The notch houses a proximity sensor, the earpiece and the front facing camera. It also has a small LED notification light. It has a nice 12-layer of mirrored rear design with a finger print sensor at the back. It comes in a sleek design and has a weight of only 152 gm.

Honor has opted for a 16 MP front and a dual camera setup of 13+2 MP at the rear and supports 1080 P video recording and features a phase-detection autofocus system as well. The power button and the volume rockers are on the right and the dual sim tray is on the left. At the bottom, it has a micro USB slot for charging purpose and the speaker grille along with a 3.5 mm headphone jack.

The phone runs on 16nm HiSilicon Kirin 659 chipset which has four cortex A53 cores clocked at 2.36 GHz and four cortex A53 cores clocked at 1.7 GHz, it has EMUI 8.1 running on Android Oreo. It has a 3000 mAh battery and does not support fast charging.

Honor has introduced the phone with three different variant in India, a 3GB RAM with 32GB storage which costs ₹ 11,999 and a 4GB RAM with 64GB and 128GB storage version costs ₹ 13,999 and ₹ 17,999 respectively, all three variants supports micro sd card upto 256GB.

Should you buy it ? – The biggest selling point of this phone is definitely the notch as there are not many options to choose from that come with a notch in this price range. Over all, the phone is a decent performer and does not disappoint in any department.

The front and the rear cameras are capable of clicking good pictures even in the low light. So, if you like the notch and searching for a decent phone within the budget of 12 to 15k, it’s definitely worth buying it.
